It's the holidays and we want to celebrate them with you and the animals! Enjoy a nice winter day at the SWC facility at another donation admission event. We'll have scheduled keeper talks, shop through craft vendors on small business Saturday, eat a snack at the food trucks, tons of animal encounters, and SNOW! Bring the whole family and kick off the holiday season with a bang.

Donation admission: donate $1 or more to enter or bring a needed item as your admission. 

Needed item list:

laundry soap (any brand, no softeners)

dish sponges

Paper towels

Dog, cat, parrot, and small mammal toys

Dog and cat beds

Puzzle/slow feeders

Raw chicken (any cut/pieces)

Raw fish 

Fresh produce (avoid spinach and cabbage)

Gift cards- Tractor Supply, Walmart, Publix, Chewy, Amazon, etc.

Do you homeschool your children? Skip the biology book and head over to SWC's first homeschool day. Check out the classes below:

9-9:45am- Mammals: Dive into the fascinating world of mammals from around the world. Learn about food chains, adaptions, ecology, and more (all ages welcome)

9:45am-10am- BREAK/FREE PLAY

10-10:45am- Reptiles: Leaping lizards, slithering snakes, and tons of tortoises. Learn about different reptiles from around the world (all ages welcome)

10:45-11- BREAK/FREE PLAY

11-11:30- Farm Animals: help us care for the goats, chickens, and pigeons. Learn what they eat, how to care for them, and talk about farming (best for kids 8-17)

11:30-12pm- Nature Scavenger hunt and free time. Ask questions, check out our merch, and enjoy free time around the animals.

You can enjoy 1 class or stay for the whole day. Goat feed cups will be $1 with snacks and drinks for sale as well.

Price: $30 for a pair (1parent/guardian and 1 child 6 months to 3 years), tickets for additional adults/children in the age group are $10 to add 

Come enjoy a beautiful December day with your little one as we expose your babies and toddlers to all their different senses with the animals. We will explore animal sounds, fluffy and scaley textures, different colored animals, and fresh smells on the nature trail. This will be a fun day for targeting your little one's sense of exploration and adventure. We will even have fake snow ❄️
